DAY 1: ROSSANO AND COSENZA




Guided tour of the historic center of Rossano and the Museum of Sacred Art which houses the famous Codex Purpureus, a Greek gospel book from the 6th century. The morning will continue with a visit to the Museum of liquorice "Amarelli".


Lunch in a restaurant.


The afternoon will be spent with a guided tour of the historic center of Cosenza where we will admire the UNESCO heritage Cathedral, the "Rendano" Traditional Theater, the Prefecture Palace and the "Villa Vecchia", the green lung of the city. Possibility of visiting the Museum of the Bretti and the Enotri. We will then arrive in the modern part of the city which houses the MAB, an open-air museum, which collects valuable sculptures by De Chirico, Dalì, Manzù.

2nd DAY: LAVENDER PARK and MORANO CALABRO




Guided tour of the Lavender Park, custodian of various species of medicinal plants, in particular the native lavender variety "Loricanda" from which essential oil and other cosmetic products are obtained.

Lunch in a farmhouse.

In the afternoon, guided tour of Morano Calabro one of "The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy". Perched on a mountain and surrounded by the mountain range of the Pollino National Park, it offers tourists the Collegiata della Maddalena, one of the grandest Calabrian baroque churches inside which you can admire the polyptych by Vivarini. You go up the alleys until you reach the ruins of the Castle.

3rd DAY: REGGIO CALABRIA AND CONDOFURI




In the morning we will visit Condofuri, a small village in the Greek area of ​​Calabria, where ancient Greek is still spoken and where the village signs are written in 3 languages: Italian, ancient Greek and modern. Afterwards we will visit a bergamot grove.

Lunch on a farm.

Afternoon dedicated to visiting Reggio Calabria and in particular the National Archaeological Museum of Magna Graecia, with its numerous historical and archaeological finds and the famous Riace Bronzes. The visit will continue along Corso Garibaldi where the traditional F. Cilea Theater and the beautiful Cathedral, among the largest in Calabria, are located. Finally, we will admire the coasts of Sicily along the seafront in a romantic walk.

4th DAY: SANTA MARIA DEL CEDRO and DIAMANTE




Morning dedicated to visiting the Riviera dei Cedri, so called because it is an area where citrons are grown. This fruit is considered precious by the Jews to the point that every year rabbis from all over the world come to this location to choose the best specimen to use in their religious rites. We will visit a citron farm, to learn about the use of citron in cosmetics, in cooking and in the preparation of soft drinks.
It will also be possible to visit a chili pepper plantation, one of the characteristic symbols of Calabria, to which a very important Festival is dedicated in the month of September.

Lunch in a restaurant.

In the afternoon visit to Diamante, the town of Murales with more than 100 paintings on the walls of its historic center.
